I purchased this 8 months ago and absolutely love it–the only clippers on the face of the earth that have attachments up to 1 3/4″. Easy to use, change attachments, clean, and seems pretty durable (but I have soft, fine hair). And costs less than a single haircut! My only gripe is that after about 6 months, it stopped holding a charge at all. I’ll either return it to the manufacturer (has a 2-yr. warranty) or just use it over the sink rather than standing in the tub (LOL).

First impression: Poorly built. Cheap plastic. Combs are not sturdy; bends easily. Wahl really messed up on this one.

First (and Last) use: very painful experience. my hair keeps on getting caught in the blades and it ripped off several hair. The motor stalled ALL the time. I had to turn it off and on to keep using. After cutting the hair on the back of my head, the machine just simply refused to cut any more. Blades did not cut the hair on the side of the head of on the top. Also the adjustable combs seem to move out of place when you have a lot of hair.

Bought this at Canadian Tire. Wahl used to be a name to trust. not anymore. i don’t know how the makers of this thing sleep at night. If you had a contest to try to build the crappiest clipper this would win. even the case is crap. i’ve had it maybe 9 months and its dying already. won’t hold a charge and will hardly work when plugged in. the cut was always bad. i could get closer with a pair of children’s scissors. if i could rate this a negative 5 stars i would. This is not good value at any price. Run away from this clipper – there are no redeeming features. wait i take that back – the little tube of oil and the packing foam work just fine.

Disappointing – LW – Michigan
This was the worst hair clipper I have ever used. It didn’t cut hair at all, but just combed through it. The blades worked intermittantly, seemed to work about 1% of the time I was attempting to give the haircut, however it was mostly like combing through the hair without cutting anything. It sounded like the blades were turning off and on, whether plugged in or charged. I think this was a defective unit, I returned it for a refund but seller would not return delivery and return shipping which amounted to almost as much as the unit itself. Ultimately, I was dispppointed not only in the product but the service as well, and am not sure I will order from Amazon again.

I’ve had one of these as well as an earlier version, and I loved both of them. With the initial use, there is some discomfort because you’re pulling the hair out not cutting it off. But, after repeated use, the hair becomes finer and more sparse therefore, less discomfort. The only issue I have with them is that your legs need to be TOTALLY dry. You can not use this product on a wet or moisturized leg. One of the beauties of using a razor with shaving cream is that you can see where you’ve shaved. You can’t with this product. As stated above,w ith use the hair becomes softer and more sparse. When you get older, you’ll need glasses to see where you need to shave. Other than that, I think it’s a great product.

It is OK for me, but my girlfriend said it felt heavier than she expected.
Also, the vibration is slightly stronger than some other products.

However it is quite useful and good enough for that price. So I still gave a 5 star score.

This clipper works great. It has lots of guard sizes, more than most kits. They clip on the clipper easily. Has a long cord, clean-up brush, every thing you need to give a hair cut. I am pleased with this clipper and would buy it again.

Not My Ideal Hair Clipper – Timothy Wang –
After reading all the reviews and seeing the star ratings, I’d thought this would be the best hair clipper. However, I was instead very displeased with the product. First of all, the hair clipper is really bulky and heavy. Product dimensions are listed at 4 pounds. Secondly, I had a problem with the attachments. They did not fit sturdy on the clipper and made a rattling noise when it was turned on. Lastly, the whole thing is just way too noisy. I felt like I was about go deaf when cutting near my ear. Despite the many positive reviews, I would really try to avoid this product.

I also looked into other hair clippers and bought the Wahl 9655 Rechargeable Clipper. The power is ridiculously weak and stops when the hair gets too thick.

I am done with Wahl products. They’re are honestly all very poorly made. Better luck with everyone else’s experience.

Loud and obnoxious! – L. Riley –
I thought we’d upgrade our home clippers and get these since they seemed a little better quality than the ones we already. They did not cut cleanly, I had to go over the same spot many times. These also vibrated so loudly that it hurt my hubby’s hearing and I had to return them.

Let's face facts hair removal: which is done through the temporary pain, if you use wax or a car. After years of messy wax, I bought one of these. Yes, it hurts, but I was already signed when I bought it. I love this device, why not stock up on supplies such as wax, spatulas, or strips, so it's only a one-time effort. I do not have to heat up and risk burning me. I have to clean up until after I use it. I just glue backDrawer.

I bought this for my wife as a stocking-stuffer for Christmas last year. I was a bit concerned that AAA batteries wouldn’t last very long, but she just replaced them for the first time this morning. With so many toys and remotes lying around, we keep AA and AAA rechargeable batteries on chargers all the time. So this is one more thing she doesn’t have to worry about keeping charged, nor losing the charger, nor expensive proprietary batteries.

As far as the shaving performance, she likes it better than her last razor, on which she had replaced the blades two or three times. She especially likes that it doesn’t seem to nick or grab at all.

I feel it was a great deal, too.
